Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Save Money By Getting More Out Of Your Lip Moisturizers, Body Products, and Miscellaneous Household Products!
This is very simple. You’ve probably done this before. You may still do this. It is one of the best ways to save money on your lip moisturizers, body products, and miscellaneous household products.
This approach applies to any and every product that you buy where you suspect or where you can visibly see more of that product remaining in the container after you have supposedly used it all. The average person tosses the container in the trash when they reach this point. The truly thrifty person will get at whatever is remaining in the container by any means necessary. This type of resourcefulness is one of the best ways you can save money on things like lip moisturizers, body products, and miscellaneous household products.
Think about it, often times there is a whole lot more of the product that we think we’ve used up sitting in the containing than we realize. Moreover, it is a fact that when we take the time to extract the remaining content we will not only have more of that product to use but, in the long run, we will save money. This is certainly the case for me where lip moisturizers, body products, and miscellaneous household goods are concerned.
For example, because I religiously and addictively use lip moisturizers I probably spend at least $28 a year on this product and that’s if I make only a biweekly purchase for less than $1.50. What can I say, I got to have soft looking and soft feeling lips! (I’ve spent as much as $4 for lip moisturizers from the health food store and I even naughtily and regrettably splurged on a $12 tube of lip balm one day.) However, I save money each year on my lip moisturizers, as well as the various body products and miscellaneous household goods I purchase, by accessing as much of the content in the containers that I possibly can before discarding of them.
That is, for example, when I reach the end of a tube of Vaseline Lip Therapy Petroleum Jelly I will cut off a little of the tube’s end, piece by piece, and squeeze until there is really no more jelly left. If I am using Blistex Medicated Lip Balm I will take a butter knife and scoop out the remaining balm until all balm is actually gone. Similarly, when I reach the end of any one of my body products or household products I either keeping cutting the end of the container and continue squeezing, as is the case with toothpaste; add Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Witch Hazel, swoosh it around and continue pumping, as is the case with lotions; or add water or lemon juice, shake it up and continue pouring, as is the case with liquid detergent to get to the remaining content. And, yes, this really does help me get more out the product AND help me save money!
