Where to Advertise/Market/Sell Your Self-Published Bestseller for FREE!
(NOTE: This is Part IV of the Self-Publishing series.)
You are finally a self-published author! Whether you self-published your book using a P.O.D. (Print on Demand) or Vanity Publisher, or whether you’re a humble desktop publisher who’s solely responsible for selling your book by any means necessary, the point is you’re a self-published author!
Whew!! FINALLY!!
Oh, and congratulations!
Ok, now it’s time to start marketing/advertising/selling your masterpiece! Where do you begin? How about online?
You can advertise/market/sell your publication as a hardcopy or e-book:
- On your website using a FREE e-book download software;
- On your website in conjunction with a FREE *PayPal Buy Now Button;
- Via an ad in your e-mail messages (or e-mail signature) along with the FREE *PayPal Buy Now HTML code for e-mails;
- Via a FREE ad on Craig’s List or one of the many other FREE classifieds online;
- Via a FREE ad on your social networking page and site features.
*When clicked on the PayPal Buy Now Button for your website or the HTML code for your e-mail automatically takes your customer to an order page linked to your PayPal account. You can get either code for FREE and in less than five minutes at www.PayPal.com assuming you have a verified PayPal account. If you don’t have an account it’s FREE to sign up for one. If you’re not familiar with PayPal it’s a FREE and secure online money transfer service. Visit their website for more information about their services.
Be creative with your use of the PayPal Buy Now Button codes (in your ads) for numbers 3-6, specifically on social networking sites. Whenever you can’t use the HTML codes include your PayPal e-mail account instead. Also use this e-mail account on your offline ads as well—namely, on your flyers, postcards, and business cards.
If you’re selling an e-book you could forward your customer their order as a secured, Adobe PDF attachment once you received their payment via PayPal. (See the previous post for more information on PDF e-books.)
There are endless ways to sell your book for a fee. This post, however, was only meant to offer some FREE suggestions on how you can sell your book or e-book, online and offline.
