E-books: THE MOST Cost-Effective Way to Self-Publishing

(NOTE: This is Part III of the Self-Publishing series.)

Can’t afford to professionally publish hard copies of your self-published book? Do not fret! I repeat: DO NOT FRET!

After all, this is the day and age of digital books and digital book publishing! In other words, publish your book as an e-book!!

Here’s what you can do:

If you have a website you can purchase software that allows customers to download your book as an e-book either instantly from your website or from a time-sensitive file that is immediately forwarded to their e-mail address. (Some of this software is even FREE.)

Sorry, at the time of this writing I’m not familiar with any book download software. Thus, I have no suggestions about which software to consider.

Here’s how I self-publish my books:

Whether you have a website or not, you can publish and sell your e-book as a *secured PDF (Portable Digital File).

*Should you decide to use the Adobe PDF self-publishing method, you may want to secure your PDF by enabling the features that prevent others from copying your e-book or from making any changes to it. You can also enable the no print or low resolution print feature if you desire.

In a future post I will offer suggestions on how you can sell both your self-published e-book and hardcopy book online and offline.

So there you have it! Don’t allow lack of funds to prevent you from publishing your bestseller. Go digital! Save money! Publish an e-book!!
