It's Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Aloe Vera Gel. Use of the aromatherapy oils are optional. It's all natural and inexpensive. This could not possibly adversely affect anyone.

Greetings Ms. Jools!

Thank you so much for your reply and the additional, helpful information. Vegetarian Glycerine is certainly a great alternative for skin care. I've never heard of Sorbelene and will look into this product.

Regarding looking and feeling greasy/leaving residue on your sheets/ect. from the Extra Virgin Olive Oil/100% Aloe Vera Gel/Aromatherapy Oil mix, that won't be the case/hasn't been the case for me. Of course Olive Oil is oily, but Aloe Vera Gel and Aromatherapy Oils are not. Also, each have such trans-dermal penetrating abilities that they don't/won't sit on top of the skin causing you to feel/look greasy or leaving residue on your sheets/clothes. Even Olive Oil won't do this if you don't use it in excess, as only a little is required anyway to get pleasing results. It'll soak right into the skin particularly if applied right after a shower/bath/when the skin is damp.

Then there's also Jojoba Oil ... which is only briefly mentioned in the recent post on this blog and will be discussed in detail at some point in my currently ongoing skin care series at http://GiftsofEncouragement.info.

Thanks for your comment!

Hi in the Lord.
Your mixture sounds sensible and logical, and harmless, but I'm just wondering about what residue it leaves on clothes and bedsheets, and what about the face, wouldn't your face look and feel greasy all the time, especially in summer.
Many years ago when I was a young Mom, I developed little patches of dry skin on my upper arms. I went to the dermatologist in Wellington NZ where I was living at the time, and he told me about Sorbelene and Glycerine. I started using this mixture - available from supermarkets and chemists, and very cheap. I am now 65 and have really great skin. I use this every day on face as well as body, feet hands etc. It can even be used in the shower instead of soap on really dry & damaged skin, and leaves no residue. Blessings ..Barb Jools
